Speak to our experts

  • Why do I need a topcoat?
HW02 turns milky when exposed to water. Over time, the moisture in the air would therefore interact with it. Envirograf's clear topcoats prevent this from happening. We recommend Enviro Clear for internal environments and HW Superb Clear for external environments.
  • Is intumescent paint waterproof?
Intumescent paint isn't waterproof. In fact, paints which are suitable for external application require additional topcoat to protect them from the elements. Otherwise, it will get damaged and not perform properly. Two coats of Superbclear topcoat - applied at 10sqm per litre per coat - should be applied to HW02 to increase its lifespan and protect it. This is available to purchase on our website.
