Protecta Pipe Wrap – 25m x 50mm

Protecta Pipe Wrap on a Role consists of a 25m long x 50mm wide graphite based swelling material that reacts with heat that fills the cavities resulting from the melting plastic through-penetration in case of a fire.

Its designed use is for maintaining the fire resistance of fire separating walls and floors which have pipes and other conduits passing through. It is suitable for drywalls, masonry or concrete walls and floors.

Pipes compatible with the Protecta Fire Wrap

It may be used both for plastic pipes (PVC, PP, PE ABS and Alupex), bundles of plastic pipes with or without cables as well as cable bundles. The Endless Pipe Wrap is cast into the wall or the floor by fixing it round the through-penetration with the attached sticker. It may also be fitted in our FR Board and EX Mortar.

It can be used on plastic pipes that range from the smallest pipe sizes available to Ø400 mm with a wide range of pipe wall thicknesses. Also, it is suitable for metal pipes with continuous combustible pipe insulation. Finally, plastic pipes with cables (conduits) can be protected with this wrap.

These 25 metre rolls are suitable for all diameters. The other Protecta Pipe Wraps are designed to work for most common diameters.

Fire Testing

In terms of their fire classification – they provide up to 240 minutes for both integrity and insulation.

Certified for PVC-U, PVC-C, PE, LDPE, MDPE, HDPE, ABS, SAN+PVC, PP pipes as well as various composite pipes.

Tested and certified for U/U pipe end applications.

The Protecta pipe wraps are classified for fire sealing in all types of constructions.

Its durability and life is identical to the product it is installed within – be it the Protecta FR Board or EX Mortar

Graphite weight/density – 1.3 kg/m2 per mm thickness / 1300 kg/m3

This wrap normally expands in under 10 minutes ; the minimum expansion temperature is 150°C
