15x4mm Intumescent Strips in White (1050mm).

Firestop manufacturing 15x4mm white intumescent strips for doors are designed to be rebated into either the door leaf or frame, to seal off the sides and head of the door in the event of a fire.

The graphite based material in the seal expands by up to 15 times its original size to seal off the gap when exposed to high temperatures.

All seals act as a fire barrier. If you require cold smoke protection, select the fire and smoke seal, which comes with a brush to prevent the passage of smoke.

Standard brush pile length: 4mm sticking out of the brush holder.

These intumescent seals have been tested to:

• BS 476 part 22: 1987
• BS 476 part 31.1: 1987
• BS EN 1634-1

The product is also Certifire approved CF846.

What doors can this intumescent strip be used on?

This door is suitable for single and double action leaf fire doors.

The doors can be latched or unlatched.

The product is appropriate for both new installation and retrofitting.

What are some of the main product properties?

The intumescent material is multi-directional when it expands.

It is mineral based, meaning that it is safe to handle and contains no fibrous material or harmful chemicals.

Moisture, humidity, atmospheric pollution and other common substances do not affect this product.

The seals are easy to install into rebates, with a self-adhesive backing.

Laboratory testing estimates that these intumescent seals have a lifespan of about 100 years.

Storage

This product can be stored in a dry cool place, which doesn’t exceed 35 degrees Celcius.
