Intumescent Trunking Pillows – by Envirograf
Envirograf’s Intumescent Trunking Pillows are filled with intumescent sponge, which expands by up to 3 times its original size when hot. This is to seal off gaps within trunking and reduce fire damage.
Suitable for plastic or metal trunking, situated in walls, floors or ceilings. The trunking must house between 30 and 50% cables/wires. If the trunking houses more than this, use Envirograf’s Intumescent Pads instead.
They work by locking together to seal off the fire without having a negative effect on the integrity of the trunking.
They come with a retention tag, which can be attached to provide access.
They are made from non-fibrous dust free material, so that they can be used in sterile environments including hospitals.
These intumescent trunking pillows are flexible, lightweight and fireproof. When installed correctly, they slow down the spread of flame and compartmentalise the trunking.
They should be used when protection against cold smoke is also needed.
Can be removed and replaced, as a permanent solution around cabling which is regularly adjusted.

Fire testing
Tested to BS476 Part 22 (1987), achieving up to 4 hours integrity.
Tested at VNE to European Standard EN1363-1 (2000). Test terminated at 150 minutes with no product failure recorded.
Trunking pillows provide up to 4 hours integrity, effective in compartmentalising fires before they spread between rooms in a building.
Installation Instructions
Insert tightly against wires and cables, where the trunking passes through walls and floors.
Use the cord and lug to ensure that the pillows are repositioned after they are removed for access to the cables.
